Job summary

Mars in Illinois is seeking an Operator to run and change over machinery in the assigned area while ensuring quality and safety. You will work with an area team to produce quality products in required quantities and support site objectives.

Responsibilities include changeovers, cleaning, paperwork, and training others as needed. The role emphasizes Five Principles, TPM participation, and continuous improvement within a lean manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 or HS diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Two+ years in a food/manufacturing environment with automated processes preferred.
• Strong mathematical, communication, computer and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the assigned work area meeting quality, safety and performance standards.
• Communicate effectively with team leader and peers; follow escalation protocol.
• Complete HACCP/military sheets correctly and maintain 5S standards.
• Support TPM teams and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Perform changeovers, cleaning, lubrication and paperwork as required.
