Job summary

Lofton.Jobs is seeking a Logistics / Distribution Coordinator in Louisiana. The role serves as the central link between production, inventory control, QA/QC, and customer service, coordinating with suppliers, distributors, carriers, and customers to keep products moving between Belle Rose facilities.

The ideal candidate brings experience in food manufacturing or foodservice distribution, familiarity with distributor operations, and strong communication and organizational skills to manage

Qualifications

• No degree required; the company welcomes a range of experience levels.
• Background in food manufacturing or foodservice distribution preferred, with cold-chain experience a plus.
• Familiarity with how third-party and broadline distributors operate — appointment scheduling, receiving requirements, and distributor portals.
• Comfort with shipping terms, bills of lading, and freight documentation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inbound and outbound freight — trucks, deliveries, and dock times for pickups — with customers, suppliers, trucking companies, and distribution centers.
• Coordinate the transfer of raw materials and finished goods between the company’s two facilities.
• Track shipments and documentation for USDA compliance in the ERP system.
• Handle shortages, damages, rejected loads, paperwork discrepancies with internal teams and outside parties — communicating and applying shipping terms clearly.
• Develop and implement new distribution processes and procedures as the role takes shape.
