Job summary

Torchy’s The Woodlands is seeking a Food Expeditor to help ensure every order leaving the kitchen is accurate and timely, maintaining Torchy's high standards. You’ll coordinate between kitchen staff and runners to keep service flowing smoothly.

The role involves verifying orders, managing tickets, handling allergies with a manager, portioning prep items, and keeping stations clean and organized. Ongoing effort with a sense of urgency is essential.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification.
• Able to stand for several hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Open to varied work schedules based on restaurant needs.

Responsibilities

• Verify tickets to food orders and ensure all dishes meet Torchy's quality standards.
• Record and communicate ticket times to keep the kitchen and service flowing efficiently.
• Involve a manager for allergies or complicated tickets to ensure guest safety.
• Portion and label salsas; record yields and fill pans for all produced items.
• Set up stations according to the diagram and restock; break down and clean stations for the next shift.
• Keep the kitchen and station clean and organized; perform line sweeps and daily equipment checks.
• Prepare chips and dips in ticket order to ensure freshness and quality.
