Job summary

Performance Foodservice seeks a sales-focused professional to develop independent account business in the Columbia, SC area. The role emphasizes profitability through new sales and account penetration, selling company-branded products and meeting brand sales objectives.

The position may support customer service activities for regional and/or national chain customers, boosting the company’s visibility and market share. Requires restaurant or related experience and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6-12 months sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales territory and customers, sample products, plan general sales strategy including time and territory management.
• Grow sales and profit margins on an ongoing basis to meet established goals.
• Set up new customer accounts by determining pricing and coordinating deliveries.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating with center personnel to resolve issues.
• Build additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize profitability.
• Monitor accounts for credit terms and follow up on any problems.
