Job summary

Albany Marriott is seeking servers to provide food and beverage service with a focus on guest satisfaction and professional, timely service. Tasks include greeting guests, taking and entering orders into the POS, delivering items, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards throughout the dining area.

Qualifications include knowledge of liquor regulations, a current Food Handler Card, a valid TABC license, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified
• Hold a valid TABC license
• Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
• Ability to operate beverage equipment (e.g., coffee maker)

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials or promotions.
• Check station before, during and after shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
• Record order details, repeat back for accuracy, and input into POS.
• Retrieve order from kitchen, verify accuracy, and deliver to guests with condiments.
• Ensure compliance with liquor regulations and handle beverages safely.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables and serving beverages as needed.
