Job summary

Aman invites a highly motivated Pool Supervisor to join the Amangiri resort team. You will oversee daily pool operations across pool areas, lead the pool attendants and service staff, and ensure safety, cleanliness and presentation at Aman’s luxury standards in an outdoor desert setting.

This role emphasizes visible leadership, staff development, and personalised guest service, with collaboration across Food & Beverage, Engineering and Housekeeping to maintain exceptional facilities and

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience in a luxury resort, pool, beach club, recreation, or Food & Beverage environment preferred.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred; TIPS and ServSafe certification required
  • Strong understanding of pool safety standards, sanitation requirements, and emergency procedures
  • Experience managing outdoor operations in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat
  • Knowledge of POS systems and hospitality platforms such as Micros, SevenRooms, and Opera preferred
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, guest recovery, and team development skills
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication abilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform duties requiring bending, lifting, and carrying
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak operational periods

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily pool operations and lead pool attendants and service staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings, service briefings, and ongoing training, including LQA service standards
  • Monitor grooming, appearance, and professional conduct to ensure compliance with Aman standards
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all food and beverage offerings and support team product knowledge development
  • Ensure prompt, personalized service while addressing guest requests, concerns, and service recovery needs
  • Oversee pool deck cleanliness, organization, cabana readiness, towel inventories, and overall presentation standards
  • Coordinate food and beverage service with the kitchen, including communication of special requests and dietary requirements
  • Manage daily staffing assignments, scheduling adjustments, and break coverage to support efficient operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, sanitation standards, and emergency response protocols
  • Support special events, private functions, and collaboration with Engineering and Housekeeping to maintain pool facilities

Location Overview

Join our team in Amangiri. Blending into untouched red-rock country on over 900 acres of the Colorado Plateau, Amangiri and its satellite, Camp Sarika, reflect dual aspects of this ancient desert landscape. A serene sanctuary, Amangiri’s 34 modernist suites, Aman Spa and mesa‑embracing pool echo the tranquillity of the canyons. Role

As Pool Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operation of the resort pool areas, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining Aman’s luxury service standards. You will lead the Pool and Food & Beverage service teams, coordinating daily operations, supporting team development, and ensuring the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
