Job Summary

We are looking for a versatile and proactive Food & Beverage Manager to support and strengthen our F&B operations across all departments at the iconic Longwood Gardens. This is a floating leadership role designed for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys variety, and can step into different areas—catering, events, café, restaurant, and retail—to provide hands-on support, cover management gaps, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Step into leadership roles across F&B outlets as needed—covering for managers, supporting during peak periods, or launching new initiatives.
2. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations in the café, restaurant, retail food areas, and event catering.
3. Act as a bridge between departments, ensuring consistency in service, standards, and guest experience.
4. Support the planning and execution of weddings, private events, and corporate functions.
5. Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
6. Troubleshoot on the ground and ensure client satisfaction.
7. Train and mentor team members across departments, reinforcing SOPs and service standards.
8. Assist with onboarding new staff and supporting seasonal ramp-ups.
9. Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
10. Conduct spot checks and audits to ensure hygiene, safety, and brand standards are upheld.
11. Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements.
12. Support inventory, ordering, and stock rotation processes.
13. Lead or assist with special projects such as menu rollouts, pop-up events, or retail launches.
14. Provide feedback to senior leadership on operational needs and guest trends.

Qualifications

1. 3–5 years of experience in hospitality/F&B management, ideally across multiple formats (e.g., café, events, catering, retail).
2. Strong leadership and communication skills with a flexible, can-do attitude.
3. Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
4. Knowledge of food safety standards and operational best practices.
5. A passion for hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
