Summary/Objective

The Beverage Manager is responsible for the restaurant’s Beverage program while also acting as a Restaurant Manager.

Essential Functions

1. Manage the hourly restaurant/bar team under the direction of the General Manager, including scheduling, staffing, service, counseling, and training.
2. Ensure all tables and bar guests are touched to guarantee 100% guest satisfaction and address any negative impressions.
3. Maintain standards for product quality and service at all times.
4. Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively. Take corrective actions as necessary and in a timely manner, consulting with human resources as appropriate.
5. Develop seasonal cocktail menus and ensure staff are trained and knowledgeable about new cocktails and products.
6. Build and maintain relationships with vendors, select new products, and stay informed about industry trends.
7. Monitor liquor and labor costs.
8. Submit nightly reports on service, sales, labor, liquor costs, negative impressions, etc.
9. Ensure the restaurant meets or exceeds Schulson Collective standards for cleanliness; report any facility repairs needed.
10. Maintain organized employee files to ensure compliance.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position directly leads the hourly staff within the assigned restaurant.

Physical Demands

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally push and/or pull up to 50 pounds. The employee will spend over 4 hours daily standing or walking.

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
2. At least 2 years of experience in Restaurant/Bar Management.
3. Knowledge of industry trends, menu creation, coaching/training, and building restaurant management teams.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work flexible hours and days. Demonstrates top-notch teamwork.
