Position Overview: The Food & Beverage Manager leads the food and beverage service staff across various facilities including restaurants, lounges/bars, and banquets. This role ensures top guest service, oversees operations during business hours, maintains a clean and safe environment, and meets financial goals for sales and expenses.

Essential Functions
  1. Manage service aspects in all food and beverage areas and events
  2. Oversee dining rooms, lounges, bars, and catering to ensure proper setup
  3. Ensure staff are in proper uniform and adhere to appearance standards
  4. Hire, manage, and train staff
  5. Create and communicate weekly staff schedules
  6. Coordinate with staff regarding reservations and events
  7. Conduct pre-shift and pre-event meetings
  8. Evaluate staff performance and manage disciplinary actions
  9. Perform rounds to ensure guest needs are met
  10. Handle employee relations and review incidents
  11. Complete employee performance appraisals
  12. Manage inventories and daily sales reports
  13. Open and close outlets as scheduled
  14. Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as scheduled
  15. Control costs and monitor budgets and labor costs
  16. Identify sales opportunities and train staff on upselling
  17. Ensure safety and sanitation policies are followed
  18. Address guest inquiries and feedback to ensure satisfaction
  19. Collaborate on menu creation and pricing
  20. Coordinate with other departments for events and staffing
  21. Uphold company standards and policies
  22. Attend all necessary meetings
  23. Ensure efficient in-room dining and reservation system operation
  24. Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and build teams
  • Proven track record in increasing responsibility in hospitality management
Physical Demands
  • Stand for long periods, handle objects, reach, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Work with chemicals and food products in various environments
  • Operate under stressful situations
Qualifications
  • Current food handler’s and alcohol service certifications
  • Minimum 3 years management experience in hospitality
  • High school diploma required; some college preferred
