Job description

The Food & Beverage Manager (FBM) is responsible for managing all aspects of the food service and beverage operation. By utilizing the food service team, this manager is responsible for the efficient execution of all fresh food/food service programs in compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines and supporting the General Manager in all facets of running the store. The FBM, in conjunction with the AGM, is responsible for training the Customer Service Associates in the store. The FBM is responsible for maintaining a safe, sanitary, and appetizing food service environment. The FBM ensures an exceptional customer experience.

Principal Duties:

  1. Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. Respond to customer complaints or inquiries. Solicit customer feedback through various communication channels. Create plans to meet customer expectations consistently.
  2. Ensure the 24/7 execution of all food service programs, including proper ordering, production planning, product handling, and display.
  3. Meet or exceed food service and beverage performance and profitability goals according to corporate objectives.
  4. Implement food service efficiencies and ensure planograms are followed.
  5. Oversee inventory, ordering of products and supplies, and routine maintenance of food service equipment and facilities.
  6. Analyze food service results and trends. Prepare and execute action plans to leverage strengths and address opportunities for profitability.
  7. Be an expert on all food service marketing programs, campaigns, strategies, and initiatives. Educate staff accordingly.
  8. Train, coach, and manage food service customer service associates. Handle recruitment, hiring, training, engagement, and performance management. Recognize and reward staff.
  9. Execute corporate training plans for food service CSAs with hands-on training for proficiency.
  10. Ensure adherence to safety, security, quality, and store operation policies and procedures.
  11. Run shifts as needed, including deposit preparation and fuel operations where applicable.

Essential Functions:

  1. Work well individually and in team environments.
  2. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  5. Maintain attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Apply critical thinking and root cause analysis to solve problems.

  9. Understand store finances and their impact on the business.
  10. Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, grasping, and lifting up to 35 lbs throughout shifts.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Leadership experience, preferably in a food service environment.
  3. Flexible availability including all shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  4. Availability to work 35-40 hours per week.
  5. Experience in staff training, performance management, sales, scheduling, and expense management.
  6. Experience in store operations, including foodservice.
  7. Change implementation skills with proven results.
  8. Serve Safe Certification.
  9. Strong skills in customer service, relationship building, communication, and training.
