Job summary

Target is hiring a Food & Beverage Expert in Jacksonville, FL. You will be on a fast-paced team delivering guest-first service, ensuring freshness and accurate pricing across the sales floor, and supporting food & beverage operations from replenishment to signing and displays.

Ideal candidates bring a friendly, helpful attitude, ability to multi-task in a dynamic setting, and a willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age (Bakery Only)
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments
• Greet guests and assist to locate items or resolve issues
• Help guests find what they need and ensure a smooth shopping experience
• End every guest interaction with a sincere thank you
• Support team efforts and assist peers across areas
• Uphold and maintain Food & Beverage Standards
• Execute processes including deliveries, replenishment, in-stocks, and merchandising
• Follow all food safety requirements and use equipment properly
• Promote products through sampling and suggestive selling
• Work with vendors on displays and backroom organization
• Locate damaged, recalled or expired items and handle per policy
• Adhere to federal/state/local beverage laws where applicable
• Maintain safety and compliance in all tasks
• Assist with back-up cashier and drive-up duties as needed
• All other duties based on business needs
