Job summary

Target in Florida is seeking a Food & Beverage Expert to help ensure a fresh, friendly guest experience on the sales floor. You will support replenishment, pricing, and signing while upholding food safety standards and Target’s guest-first culture.

You’ll work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, greet guests, resolve issues, and help keep shelves stocked and accurately signed. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to learn Target’s processes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older (Bakery Only)
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments
• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task
• Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards
• Execute Food & Beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, signing and organizing
• Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales
• Work with vendors to maintain displays and organized backroom space
• Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process accordingly
• Adhere to federal, state and local adult beverage laws as applicable
• Capably use PPE and equipment; follow guidelines
• Maintain safety and compliance at all times
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and drive-up while ensuring compliance
• All other duties based on business needs
