Job summary

Four Seasons Miami is seeking a proactive Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our pool, Bahia Restaurant, and recreational facilities. Responsibilities include ensuring safety standards, supervising staff, managing schedules, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate brings leadership experience in hospitality, strong customer service, and knowledge of pool operations and water safety.

Qualifications

• Experience as Pool Manager, Recreation Manager, or similar role in hospitality.
• Supervisory or management experience in a restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of pool maintenance, water quality, and safety protocols.
• CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing procedures.
• Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff and ensure policy compliance.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching for guest satisfaction.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and costs to maximize profitability.
• Ensure safety and maintenance of pool and recreation facilities.
• Plan and lead recreational programs and events for guests or residents.
• Monitor budgets for pool/recreation operations and staffing.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B for seamless service.

The Role

As the Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of different Food & Beverage outlets such as our pool and recreational facilities and Bahia Restaurant. This includes ensuring safety standards are met, overseeing staff, maintaining equipment, managing schedules, and developing engaging recreational activities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a passion for customer service and recreational management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise and support front-of-house and back-of-house staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to maintain high levels of productivity and guest satisfaction.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and control costs to maximize profitability.
• Resolve customer issues and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the pool, recreational areas, and related facilities.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all pool and recreation users.
• Supervise and train pool attendants, and other recreational staff.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including water quality standards, safety equipment, and emergency protocols.
• Manage pool scheduling for private events, group lessons, recreational programs, etc.
• Plan, organize, and lead recreational programs, events, and activities for guests or residents.
• Monitor and manage budgets for pool and recreation operations, including staffing and supplies.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Collaborate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage) to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

• Proven experience as a Pool Manager, Recreation Manager, or similar role in a recreational or hospitality environment.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant industry.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and familiarity with POS systems.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Knowledge of pool maintenance, water chemistry, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
