Job summary

DO & CO in Des Plaines, IL is looking for a dynamic Food Assembly Helper to join our hospitality team. You will assemble food items and trays according to airline specifications and meal types, contributing to a seamless service for guests at events and in-flight settings.

You will follow food safety practices and work in an environment that may require long hours and varying temperatures. This role includes flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands.

Responsibilities

• Assemble food items including tray setup. Follow airline specifications which usually include tray setting for hot meals, cold meals, salad, snacks, bread, butter, and condiments)
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook. Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team

Qualifications

• Able to manage through a substantial workload
• Capable to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Able to complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
• Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
