Job summary

St. Mary's Health Care System is seeking a Full-time Food Service Associate to support patient meals and front-line service in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals per dietary guidelines, maintaining sanitation, operating POS systems, and collaborating with clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate meal delivery.

Qualifications

• Handle advanced prep and ensure items meet production tallies and deadlines.
• Coordinate with cooks, supervisors and clinical staff on food quality.
• Rotate and replenish floor stock, food supplies and kitchen inventory to reduce waste.
• Clean dishes, utensils, equipment and work areas; ensure sanitation compliance.
• Operate basic kitchen tools and follow safety protocols.
• Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines and monitor temperatures.
• Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions.

Minimum Qualifications

Serve Safe Certification or within 6mo. of hire. Food Handlers Certification in line with state requirements, or within 6 mo. of hire. Diet competency certification or within 6 mo. Of hire.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

High School Diploma or GED. 1-2 year of customer service
