Job summary

Texas Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Food Service Technician PRN to join the Food & Nutrition team. This role focuses on cleanliness, organization, and distribution of meals and supplies in a fast-paced hospital environment with a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include following infection control, HIPAA guidelines, and maintaining professional appearance. Prior healthcare or food service experience is preferred, and ServSafe/food handler certification within 90

  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire.
  • High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department.
  • Follows infection control, safety, HIPAA guidelines and meets performance goals.
  • Supports the department and aligns with the hospital's mission and values.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The FoodandNutrition Food ServiceWorkerIwill bea competent Support services employee whois responsible forthe cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist. Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectivesestablishedannually as listed on the performance management plan.

  • Utilizes systems/processes to ensure patient safety, infection control practices, department security & HIPPA guidelines.
  • Maintain and adhere to Food & Nutrition’s uniform and personal appearance standards at all time
  • Utilizes proper processes to achieve patient,customer& physiciansatisfaction goals.
  • Foster a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values of the organization.

What qualifications you will need:

  • High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare preferred
  • Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire
