Popina is looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager. This position has the potential to grow into the Wine Director role.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the ownership to develop and execute strategies to achieve operational goals at the restaurant level.
- Service: Supervise, discipline, and coach staff as needed; maximize cover, wine service, and other assistance to ensure smooth service.
- Serve as the ambassador of the restaurant, continuing to build and support our community and team.
- Forecast and monitor weekly sales and labor numbers, adjusting in real-time to meet hospitality and financial targets. Submit weekly schedules that deliver an excellent guest experience while remaining within budget.
- Lead daily and weekly walkthroughs to ensure facilities meet our standards and comply with all DOH/DOB requirements.
- Ensure HR practices are compliant with all local, state, and federal laws.
- Lead a best-in-class approach to cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and food safety.
- Maintain a positive, professional work environment through effective communication with employees and managers.
