Job description

Popina is looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager. This position has the potential to grow into the Wine Director role.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with the ownership to develop and execute strategies to achieve operational goals at the restaurant level.
2. Service: Supervise, discipline, and coach staff as needed; maximize cover, wine service, and other assistance to ensure smooth service.
3. Serve as the ambassador of the restaurant, continuing to build and support our community and team.
4. Forecast and monitor weekly sales and labor numbers, adjusting in real-time to meet hospitality and financial targets. Submit weekly schedules that deliver an excellent guest experience while remaining within budget.
5. Lead daily and weekly walkthroughs to ensure facilities meet our standards and comply with all DOH/DOB requirements.
6. Ensure HR practices are compliant with all local, state, and federal laws.
7. Lead a best-in-class approach to cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and food safety.
8. Maintain a positive, professional work environment through effective communication with employees and managers.
