Job summary

GrowNYC is seeking a Food Access Initiatives Operations Assistant to manage site operations, currency processing, and training across Greenmarkets in New York City. The role emphasizes organization, responsiveness, and effective communication to support SNAP/FMNP programs and related benefits.

The position is full-time and hybrid, with in-office presence in Manhattan required. It offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to community nutrition programs.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of administrative or operations experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Food Access Site Operations, currency management, and promotions.
• Provide virtual and onsite support for currency questions and field issues.
• Train and onboard Greenmarket Site Leads in operating FAI programs and equipment.
• Assist in onboarding with FAA administrative staff and SOP updates.
• Support external partners and producers with currency applications and compliance.
• Attend to weekend coverage for field staff as needed.
