Job summary

Food Bank for New York City seeks an Engagement Coordinator to support its SNAP Partner Network and TEN. You will recruit, coach, and liaise with community-based organizations to drive outreach, enrollment, and capacity-building across New York City.

The role combines office-based work with virtual and on-site field support, reporting to the Benefits Network Manager while coordinating with internal teams to optimize access to food and economic benefits for low-income New Yorkers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year experience in social services or benefits programs.
• Strong project and relationship management skills; liaising with CBOs or agencies.
• Knowledge of SNAP policy or related benefits preferred; Salesforce familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for a network of CBOs, providing technical assistance and support.
• Monitor partner performance and implement TA strategies to improve services.
• Develop annual activation plans with partners to expand SNAP and related services.
• Recruit new partner sites and assess their capacity for SNAP enrollment or TEN referrals.
• Conduct trainings for new partners and refresh existing onboarding materials.
• Support network meetings and coordinate site visits; provide in-person support as needed.
• Track partner data using Salesforce and analyze reports to identify program improvements.
