Job summary

International Paper is hiring a Folder Gluer Operator in Conway, AR. The role runs Monday–Friday with two shift options (2 pm–10 pm and 10 pm–6 am) and pays $22.07 per hour plus shift differential. Overtime and weekends may be required during busy periods; candidate must be flexible for shifts.

Location: Conway Graphics, Conway, AR 72032. You will operate and maintain the Folder Gluer and related equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operates folder gluer safely and efficiently following work methods.
• Make ready, assist operator, and maintain the folder gluer.
• Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjust as needed.
• Identify and correct product defects caused by the machine.
• Maintain production while performing routine machine adjustments.
• Complete required records, logs and reports accurately.

• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods. Hiring for listed shifts, but MUST be available for any shift (line of progression roles)

The Job You Will Perform

• Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following indicated work methods.
• Make ready, assists operator and maintains the Folder Gluer.
• Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
• Identifies, troubleshoots and corrects product defects caused by the machine.
• Performs routine adjustments during the machine run and maintains production throughout the run.
• Sets up and operates machine meeting established published specifications.
• Ensures all orders are completed to specifications including “special instructions” if applicable.
• Identifies and makes basic repairs to the machine.
• Ensure operation of Folder Gluer and related equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements according to operation standards.
• Assists running the machine meeting production goals.
• Maintains housekeeping standards all the time.
• Trains other as needed.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Comply with all IP’s Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times.
• Keep appropriate records and reports (complete forms, logs, and records accurately – as required).
• Responsible for managing machine/department waste.
• Other duties as assigned by managers and or supervisors/shift leader. Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following indicated work methods

• Able and willing to perform and sustain productivity goals (set up times, down time, MSF produced, etc).
• Ability to problem solve with minimal assistance.
• Provide daily feedback to supervisor regarding all aspects of shift/machine activity. Must be able to communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Be able to interpret and understand scheduling lineup
• Must have basic computer skills (data entry, etc) and be able to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtractions, multiplications and division.
• Comply with all IPs Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times.
• Must have ability to learn and understand machine line up.
• Must have ability to understand all operations of the folder gluer
• Must have ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Must have ability to understand and accurately utilize KIWI.
• Must have ability to be dependable and reliable.
