Job summary

International Paper in Elizabethton, TN is hiring for a 3rd Shift Machine Feeder. The role involves assisting the machine crew, feeding and stacking sheets, and ensuring quality and safety during a busy production shift.

You will work on corrugated printing/press equipment, learn line-up, and perform setup tasks while complying with safety protocols. The job requires standing, lifting, and ability to operate in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn and understand machine line up.
• Able to understand/learn all operations of corrugated manufacturing.
• Able to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.
• Familiar with KIWI for setup, run instructions and production times.

Responsibilities

• Mise en place and assist operator to maintain corrugated manufacturing press machines.
• Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and determine adjustments.
• Feed, catch and stack corrugated sheets at feed and stacking stations.
• Assist crew in order setups: setting heads, mounting print plates and dies, maintaining safety and housekeeping.
• Ensure orders meet specifications including any special instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or shift lead, including parts/hand assembly.

The Job You Will Perform

Makes ready, assists operator and assistant operator in maintaining corrugated manufacturing press machine in which you are assigned. (rotary and Bobst die cutters, Flexo folder gluers, labeler and folder gluer machinery)

Observes and monitors machine operations to aid in detecting malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.

Feeding, catching and stacking corrugated sheets at machine feed and stacking stations.

Assisting machine crew in order setups including setting heads, mounting of print plates and dies, maintaining safety, quality and required housekeeping standards.

Ensures all orders are completed to specifications including “special instructions” if applicable.

Other duties as assigned by managers and or supervisors/shift leader which may include parts and hand assembly.

• Ability to understand/learn and accurately utilize KIWI for setup, run instructions and production times.
• Must be dependable and reliable
• Ability to work in an environment that is often hot in the summer and cool in the winter.
• This position requires standing throughout your entire shift and moderate to heavy lifting at times.
