Job summary

Contact Government Services, LLC (CGS) seeks a mid-level FOIA Paralegal to join a legal support team supporting a large federal agency. You will perform FOIA request processing, document review, and litigation support, with emphasis on accurate coding and privilege/exemption analysis.

Ideal candidates have paralegal certification or JD status, at least one year of litigation experience, and comfort with Nuix Investigate or Relativity. Strong English communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, JD, or ABA-accredited law school student status with at least one year of study.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience; trial exposure helpful.
• Experience with eDiscovery tools and FOIA processing is strongly desired.
• Familiarity with FOIA rules, legal citation, and basic legal research tools.

Responsibilities

• Review FOIA requests and perform searches to separate non-responsive from responsive documents.
• Screen documents for privilege or FOIA exemptions and redact as needed.
• Conduct legal research and draft related legal documents.
• Operate document review tools and manage coding/tagging tasks.
