Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Senior FOIA Paralegal to support the legal mission of a federal agency. You will perform legal review, FOIA request processing, and litigation support tasks while maintaining high standards under pressure.

The role requires paralegal certification or JD, with at least one year of study completed, and experience with FOIA and eDiscovery tools such as Nuix Investigate and Relativity. A security clearance may be pursued.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or JD, or enrolled in ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study.
• Minimum one year of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience helpful.
• Experience with FOIA requests and eDiscovery tools is strongly desired.
• Solid knowledge of FOIA rules, exemptions, and legal citation practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct searches and analyze results to separate non-responsive from responsive documents and screen for privilege or exemptions.
• Redact and code responsive documents.
• Perform legal research.
• Draft legal documents.
