Job summary

Hometown Coffee & Juice is seeking an Front-of-House Lead to captain on- shift guest experience and service flow. You’ll set pace during rushes and coordinate between the kitchen, barista bar, smoothie station, and runners to keep every handoff fast and friendly.

You will model warm hospitality, capture allergy notes, and own guest recovery with professional solutions. You’ll onboard and mentor FOH teammates and uphold sanitation and safety throughout service.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a FOH lead/supervisor or key-holder role in café/fast-casual or similar high-volume setting (preferred).
• POS proficiency; comfortable with discounts, modifiers, and multi-channel order flow (in-store + app/online).
• Knowledge of menu offerings; quick to learn ingredients and setup.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift and manage service flow; coordinate stations by volume and strengths.
• Model warm hospitality; guide guests through menu and ensure accurate orders with allergen notes.
• Onboard and cross-train FOH teammates; reinforce standards with real-time feedback.
• Uphold sanitation and FOH cleanliness; keep guest areas stocked and presentable.
• Operate POS with precision; manage discounts, modifiers, payments, and end-of-shift close.
• Maintain par levels and presentation for FOH items and grab-and-go.
