Job summary

The American Club in Kohler, WI offers a 6-month Intern FOH - Food & Beverage internship, onsite. Interns will rotate through Front of House and Back of House operations, gaining exposure to service, associate training, inventory management, and projects such as menu development and special dining events.

Responsibilities include monitoring the dining room, coordinating FOH-BOH communication, training across outlets, learning schedules and payroll, and supporting daily admin tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at a college or university pursuing a degree in Hospitality or Resort Management.
• Previous Food & Beverage experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the restaurant floor and leading communication between FOH & BOH.
• Monitor and execute all food and beverage orders and ensure quality/presentation.
• Train in all positions of the restaurants (BOH & FOH).
• Learn scheduling, cash handling, office reporting and social media.
• Assist outlet manager with cover forecasting, scheduling, payroll & labor controls.
• Lead opening/closing procedures of assigned outlets.
• Manage inventory levels and conduct counts to minimize waste.
• Assist management with purchasing, ordering, invoicing, records and filing.
