Job summary

Elite Comfort Solutions, a Leggett & Platt Company, is hiring a Machine Operator II for a second shift (Mon–Fri, 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM) with overtime likely. The role requires cutting or slicing foam to customer specs, verifying sizes, and ensuring quality while maintaining safety and housekeeping in the shipping area.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or GED and prior machine operation experience; proficient tape measure use is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Machine operation experience strongly preferred; ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate foam flow and orders throughout production.
• Report to lead at shift start to determine cut/slit needs.
• Check tags and measure blocks before cutting for correct sizes.
• Assist unloading machines when needed.
• Re-measure after cutting to ensure proper size per ticket.
• Assist others in pulling blocks from the wall and label with size and foam type.
• Change blades with proper gloves and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized shipping areas; follow safety practices.
