Job summary

Leggett & Platt Incorporated is seeking a Machine Operator II for the 2nd shift at our Conover, NC facility to cut foam to customer specifications. You will coordinate foam flow, check sizes, and operate all department machines, ensuring safety and quality.

Education requirements include a High School diploma or GED; prior machine operation experience preferred. You will also read tape measures and train/new employees as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Machine operation experience strongly preferred.
• Computer skills, must be able to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates flow of foam and orders throughout production.
• At shift start, report to the lead to determine what needs to be cut or slit.
• Check tags and measure each block before cutting to determine correct sizes.
• Assist unloading machines when needed.
• After cutting, re-measure to ensure proper size according to the ticket.
• Must be able to cut foam using spec sheets and run all department machines.
