Placements24 is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for a role in the FMCG sector based in Paarl, Western Cape. You will oversee daily logistics operations, manage carrier relationships, and ensure timely and compliant distribution across warehouses and customers.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, tracking inventory, optimizing routes, and resolving delays to maintain service levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, transportation coordination or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations, shipping procedures and inventory control.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics operations, including shipment scheduling, tracking, and documentation.
• Manage relationships with transportation providers, negotiating rates and ensuring SLAs are met.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure efficient stock management within warehouses.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues or delays that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and customs requirements.
