Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a knowledgeable Freight Forwarder to manage international and domestic shipments remotely. You will coordinate transportation, prepare documentation, liaise with customs brokers and carriers, and ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a deep understanding of global logistics and excellent communication. You will be a primary client contact, offering guidance and cost-efficient solutions while supporting operations across East London and beyond.

Qualifications

Experience as Freight Forwarder or in international logistics.
Understanding of international shipping regulations and documentation.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency with freight forwarding software and common office applications.

Responsibilities

Arrange and manage the booking of shipments via air, sea or land transport.
Prepare and process shipping documentation including bills of lading and customs declarations.
Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers and logistics partners for smooth transit.
Track shipments and provide updates to clients on status.
Negotiate freight rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing.
Resolve issues or discrepancies during the shipping process.
