Jamul Casino in Jamul, CA, is seeking friendly, service‑oriented servers to greet guests, present menus, take orders, and upsell items with enthusiasm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months’ experience in food and beverage service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, escort to tables, present menus and take orders.
• Present daily specials, promotions and menu items; upsell where appropriate.
• Ensure guest requests are addressed promptly and courteously; resolve complaints as needed.
• Maintain dining area cleanliness and assist with setup/cleanup; coordinate with kitchen and bar staff.
• Accurately relay orders to kitchen/bar; ensure proper presentation and service.
• Follow health and safety standards and comply with resort policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Service:

• Greeting guests warmly and escorting them to their tables.
• Present menus, take orders, and recommend food and drink options based on guests' preferences.
• Provide information on daily specials, promotions, and menu items.
• Ensure that all guest requests are handled promptly and politely.
• Respond to guest inquiries regarding food, beverages, and resort services.
• Address and resolve any guest complaints in a professional manner, escalating when necessary.

2. Food & Beverage Service:

• Accurately taking and relaying orders to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with established resort standards.
• Ensure proper presentation of food and drinks before serving to guests.
• Ensure guests are satisfied with their meals, refilling drinks, and providing any necessary condiments.
• Clear tables after guests have finished their meals and prepare them for the next guests.

3. Cleanliness & Organization:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and menus.
• Ensure that workstations are properly stocked with utensils, napkins, and other necessary items.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up dining areas, ensuring that health and safety standards are maintained.
• Work effectively with colleagues, including other waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management.
• Assist in training new staff as needed and promoting a positive team environment.
• Help with additional duties such as delivering room service or assisting with special events.

5. Sales and Upselling:

• Promote the resort’s food and beverage offerings and encourage guests to try new or signature items.
• Upsell menu items and suggest pairings that enhance the guest experience.
• Accurately handle guest checks, process payments, and provide change, as necessary.

6. Adherence to Resort Policies:

• Follow all resort procedures regarding health and safety, food handling, and alcohol service.
• Comply with the resort’s grooming and uniform standards.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and resort operations.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six months’ experience in food & beverage service preferred
• Knowledgeable of food and wine
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Team members must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to earn and maintain Gaming License.
• Ability to earn and maintain RBS Certification within 60 days of employment.
