Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Fluids Systems Engineer for the Lunar Permanence IPT to advance MK1 Fluids Systems and propulsion integration. You will work on subsystems with depth, own docs, and ensure architecture diagrams stay current throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include cross-domain integration, test support, and leading trade studies to drive design improvements in fluids and propulsion architecture. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical subject area.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in fluids, propulsion, or aerospace systems.
  • Experience with fluid/gas components (valves, manifolds, regulators, pumps, vessels).
  • Experience with systems engineering principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with some oversight as part of the Fluids and Propulsion IPT.
  • Own subsystem-level documentation and analyses, incorporating verification data.
  • Update and communicate subsystem architecture diagrams, schematics.
  • Apply systems engineering across development stages: concept, requirements, design, analysis, validation, integration, safety, verification, test.
  • Integrate fluids and propulsion with overall vehicle design, software, and operations.
  • Support development and execution of component and subsystem tests.
  • Lead trade studies, component design/integration, first-order analysis, and test support.
