Job summary

CarMax in Mobile, AL seeks a Flow Inventory Associate to maintain vehicle inventory, handle receiving/shipping, lot upkeep, merchandising, and photo uploads. You will ensure each car meets CarMax quality standards and support a fast-paced, hands-on environment with integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory, processing transfers, prep for returns, and listing photos. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing long hours, and flexible schedules,

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data for inventory records.
• Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and trainings.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in indoor/outdoor environments.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory following CarMax inventory processes.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax; prepare title packets for transfers.
• Perform lot maintenance and merchandising; keep display areas clean and organized.
• Prep vehicles for customer returns and loaners (washing, vacuuming).
• Execute photo station process for car listings.
• Drive vehicles on/off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean, safe work area.
