Job summary

Qualifications

• ASCP certification strongly preferred.
• Two years of experience as a certified MLS.
• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science; or Medical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine and complex tests in clinical laboratories using standard techniques and equipment.
• Operate manual or computerized instrumentation and calibrate/maintain instrumentation.
• Process patient samples with proper ID to ensure quality material for testing.
• Identify and troubleshoot assay problems and communicate issues to senior staff.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and participate in the development of new tests.
