Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical or biological science.
• Current license in the state of practice (if applicable) and ASCP, AMT or AAB certification pathways per facility requirements.
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and data entry.
• Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare specimens, perform laboratory tests and data calculations for diagnosis and treatment.
• Conduct quality control, monitor test performance, calibrate equipment and perform maintenance.
• Perform phlebotomy as appropriate and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Manage inventory, supplies, and support cost reduction initiatives as needed.
