Discovery Life Sciences is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator to support the Flow Cytometry team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves accessioning samples, organizing shipments, inventory management, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced lab environment.

Responsibilities include general lab duties, data entry, compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaboration with multiple departments. This in-office role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in life sciences is required.
• Strong organizational skills with understanding of general laboratory procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across departments.
• Experience with basic lab equipment operation.
• Proficient with Windows-based programs including MS 365 products.

Responsibilities

• Use LIMS for sample receipt, accessioning, testing requirements, and queries with investigator sites.
• Perform specimen accessioning: receiving, labeling, logging, and tracking samples.
• Ensure accurate data entry and compliant specimen handling per protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies related to sample identification and documentation.
• Receive, verify, and organize incoming materials and supplies.
• Conduct monthly inventory cycle counts and track in-lab usage.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and preventive maintenance visits.
• Perform general instrumentation QC / calibration as needed.
• Adhere to EHS safety protocols and regulatory requirements (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, CAP/CLIA, HIPAA).
• Follow instructions from senior staff within established timelines.
