Job summary

Discovery Life Sciences is seeking a Logistics Associate in Huntsville, AL to join the logistics team. You will execute logistics operations, collaborate with project managers and clinical sites, and help ensure timely shipments and accurate inventory management.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to lift heavy items, and willingness to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Logistics experience in biotech preferred but required.
• Knowledge of universal precautions and bloodborne pathogens.
• Excellent computer skills; Excel familiarity preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 300 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain workflow.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers and clinical sites to obtain specimen criteria and ensure timely shipments.
• Maintain the freezer farm and de-icing of freezers.
• Prepare and label boxes for shipments with correct labels.
• Receive samples into Salesforce and manage inventory.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing operations.
• Attend to end-of-month shipping priorities and coordinate with teams.
• Wear PPE as required and move equipment safely.
