Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Flow Cytometry Technologist to join our Seattle, WA team. Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00AM–3:30PM with rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities include verifying specimens, performing procedures per SOPs, operating instruments, and reporting results to support patient care. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology, ASCP or AMT certification, and 1 year of hematology experience; preferred: 1 year of flow cytometry experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology.
ASCP or AMT certification.
1 year or more of hematology experience.

Responsibilities

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
