Job summary

Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services, seeking a Manager, Flow Cytometry Laboratory in Indianapolis, IN. This role oversees testing services, staff, and adherence to CAP, CLIA, ISO15189 and NYSDOH standards, with Monday–Friday schedule and some Saturday rotation.

The position requires six years of lab experience with two years in supervision, a Life Science degree, and preferred advanced degrees or MLS certification.

Qualifications

• Six years of laboratory experience following clinical training.
• Two years of supervisory or management experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or Life Science or Medical Technology degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage department planning and delivery of testing services.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, ISO15189 and NY State DOH, quality and on-time delivery.
• Recruit, train, develop and retain staff for effective operations.
• Monitor and report performance against targets and global standards.
• Coordinate departmental activities with other functions and departments.
• Assist director in establishing globally consistent production standards.
• Participate in client visits, audits and inquiries; fulfill requests and audit findings.
• Communicate goals and strategy of CLS, the lab and department.
• Support Six Sigma and other process and quality initiatives.
• Support marketing and sales for client testing requests.
• Provide support to department director, site director, and global director.
