Houston Methodist Flow Cytometry Core is hiring a full‑time salaried research cytometry specialist to support over 70 principal investigators across biology disciplines. The role involves operating and troubleshooting flow cytometers and sorters, training users, and assisting in data analysis and reporting.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s degree in a related field with several years of experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to high standards and ICARE values.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field or terminal degree with two years post‑doctoral experience.
• Five years experience, depending on education level.
• Proficiency in flow cytometry, data interpretation, and instrument troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

• Operate and troubleshoot flow cytometers and cell sorters (setup, QC, daily monitoring).
• Train users on analyzers and assist with data analysis.
• Assist in billing, inventory, data backups, and maintaining lab cleanliness.
