Job summary

Houston Methodist Flow Cytometry Core is recruiting a full-time, salaried research cytometry specialist to support over 70 principal investigators across biology, immunology, cancer, and biomarker research. The role emphasizes independence, accuracy, and adherence to ICARE values in a busy core lab.

The successful candidate will operate and train on BD Aria II, Discovery S8, Fortessa, Cytek Aurora, and other analyzers; perform QC, data analysis, and contribute to grant-related research

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field or terminal degree with post-doctoral experience.
• Five years experience in flow cytometry or related field.
• Proficiency in English communication for technical training and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot flow cytometers and sorters; setup and QC.
• Train users on analyzers and assist with data analysis.
• Maintain lab order, records, billing support, and safety compliance.
