Job summary

ExxonMobil seeks a Flow Assurance Technologist in Houston to lead pilot unit operations and sample analysis for R&D and business applications. You will work with high-pressure fluid systems, perform analytical tasks, and contribute to process optimization in a dynamic lab setting.

Ideal candidates hold a science degree and bring hands-on experience with analytical separation, lab procedures, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. science degree with emphasis on analytical separation.
• Hands-on experience with high pressure, high temperature fluid flow systems and analyses.
• Recognise process upsets and troubleshoot to maintain unit stability.
• Attention to detail and strict adherence to lab SOPs.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks, cranes or forklifts and hand tools.
• Willingness to engage in exploratory research and cross-group collaboration.
• Strong communication skills for describing observations, plans and results.
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly and maintain lab safety and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Champion flow assurance and pilot unit operations, including mid-scale loops and high-pressure systems.
• Support research programs simulating field conditions, testing configurations and troubleshooting.
• Provide sample analysis including filtration, mass balance, and characterisation of fluid properties.
