Job summary

DRL LLC seeks a research-oriented Junior R&D Engineer to join the Flow Assurance team. You will develop engineering models and computational tools for complex flow challenges in the petroleum industry, bridging chemical and mechanical engineering with data-driven approaches.

Ideal candidates possess strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, and are proficient in Python for data analysis and scientific programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Fundamental concepts in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, or physical chemistry.
• Strong programming ability in Python for data analysis and modelling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research into flow assurance phenomena in oil & gas production and transport.
• Develop and improve mechanistic and computational models for multiphase flow.
• Translate physical phenomena into mathematical models and algorithms.
