Job summary

Bartlett Co. is hiring a Milling Operator to join our team in North Carolina. This role involves setting up and monitoring milling equipment to maximize yield while meeting production goals, and ensuring food safety in a flour mill.

You will work rotating night shifts (7pm–7am) with varied days weekly, handle thermal and physical safety measures, and participate in a culture focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow instructions in English.
• Must be reliable and able to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up, monitoring and adjusting milling equipment to maximize yield and meet production goals.

The Basics

Compensation: $20.75/hr and up

Days/Hours: The schedule for this job will be a rotating night shift. You will work 7pm to 7am Mon, Thu, Fri one week, and the same hours Tue, Wed, Sat, Sun the next week.

Equipment Used: Various milling equipment, mainly roll stands and sifters

Material Handled: Wheat and flour

What you’ll be doing:

The primary duties of this job will include assisting with the setting up, monitoring and adjusting of milling equipment to ensure maximum yield while also hitting production goals. Other duties will include, but are not limited to, maintenance of milling equipment, transferring of finished flour to storage and housekeeping. Areas of responsibility will include the flour mill and the cleaning house. As with most jobs at a flour mill, housekeeping will be an ongoing duty for this position. You are responsible for food safety.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
