Bartlett-Grain in Statesville, NC is hiring a milling operator to set up, monitor, and adjust equipment to maximize yield while hitting production goals. The role requires upkeep of milling equipment, transferring finished flour to storage, and maintaining a clean, safe work area with a focus on food safety.

The job offers night shift hours (7pm–7am) on a rotating schedule, 20.75 USD per hour starting pay and benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) with company match.

The Basics

Compensation: $20.75/hr and up

Days/Hours: The schedule for this job will be a rotating night shift. You will work 7pm to 7am Mon, Thu, Fri one week, and the same hours Tue, Wed, Sat, Sun the next week.

Equipment Used: Various milling equipment, mainly roll stands and sifters

Material Handled: Wheat and flour

What you’ll be doing:

The primary duties of this job will include assisting with the setting up, monitoring and adjusting of milling equipment to ensure maximum yield while also hitting production goals. Other duties will include, but are not limited to, maintenance of milling equipment, transferring of finished flour to storage and housekeeping. Areas of responsibility will include the flour mill and the cleaning house. As with most jobs at a flour mill, housekeeping will be an ongoing duty for this position. You are responsible for food safety.

Requirements to be successful in this position:
