Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Alternative Project Deliver Leader for Florida to manage capital programs and projects, driving design-build transportation initiatives across the state. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, oversee design management and project delivery, and collaborate with clients to meet objectives and budgets.

Based in Florida offices, you will mentor staff, lead risk management, and contribute to growth in transportation APD work, ensuring safety, quality, and timely

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive engineering and project management experience on large transportation projects, including APD projects.
• Florida experience is preferred.
• Experience as deputy design manager, design manager, or quality manager on APD projects.
• Experience leading design and construction support of complex transportation projects.
• Experience developing, negotiating, and managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on major APD projects from positioning to proposals, planning, feasibility through final designs and construction services.
• Serve as design/deputy design/quality manager on major APD projects.
• Represent Stantec and the project design team as a technical leader on APD projects.
• Identify resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives; manage tasks, costs and schedule to stay on time and within budget.
• Contribute to initiatives to advance project design, operations, and business development for Florida Transportation APD work.
• Coordinate to support APD projects across the South region as needed.
• Protect health and safety of employees, clients and public following company guidelines.
• Maintain and enhance reputation with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals.
• Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards.
• Lead by example with internal policies including risk management, project management and quality management.
• Grow internal and external networks to enhance reputation and recruit talent.
• Develop client relationships to facilitate project activities.
• Establish, maintain, and promote partnerships with contractors and consultants.
