Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Alternative Project Deliver Leader for Florida to manage capital programs and APD projects across multiple Florida offices, including Orlando, Lake Mary, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Coral Gables, Miami, West Palm Beach, and Deerfield Beach.

The candidate will drive project delivery, design management, and quality assurance with a seasoned team, leveraging Florida experience and a strong BD mindset to grow client relationships and project wins.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive engineering and project management experience on large transportation projects, Florida experience preferred.
• Experience as deputy design manager, design manager, or quality manager on APD projects.
• Experience leading design and construction support of complex transportation projects.
• Experience developing, negotiating, and managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Business development and marketing skills required.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical and professional staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on major APD projects from planning studies to final designs and construction services.
• Serve as key person and point of contact, performing design, deputy design, or quality manager roles on APD projects.
• Represent Stantec as technical leader on APD projects.
• Identify resources and skill sets to achieve objectives; manage tasks, costs, and schedule.
• Support Florida Transportation APD work and business development initiatives.
• Coordinate to support APD projects across the South region as needed.
• Protect health and safety by following company guidelines.
