Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Transportation Alternative Project Deliver Leader for Florida to manage APD projects from planning through construction across the state.

The successful candidate will lead multi-disciplinary teams, guide design and quality management, manage costs and schedules, and develop client relationships to support Florida Transportation APD work while upholding safety and project standards. Florida experience preferred, people leadership required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive engineering and project management experience on large transportation projects
• Florida experience preferred
• Experience as deputy design manager, design manager, or quality manager on APD projects
• Experience leading design and construction support of complex transportation projects
• Experience developing, negotiating, and managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets
• Business development and marketing skills required
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical staff
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on major APD projects from positioning to proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final design and construction services
• Be the key person and point of contact, performing design, deputy design, or quality manager roles on major APD projects
• Represent Stantec and the project design team as a technical leader on major APD projects
• Identify resources and skill sets to achieve objectives; manage tasks, costs, and schedules
• Support initiatives to advance project design, operations, and business development in Florida Transportation APD work
• Coordinate to support APD projects across the South region as needed
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and protect stakeholders
• Maintain and enhance reputation with clients, agencies, and industry professionals
• Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards
• Lead by example with risk, project, and quality management practices
• Grow networks to attract talent and opportunities
• Develop client relationships to facilitate project activities
• Promote partnerships with contractors and consultants in pursuits
