Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Alternative Project Deliver Leader for Florida. You will manage capital programs and projects, leading multi-disciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction services for major APD transportation projects across the state.

Based in Florida, you will coordinate with clients and agencies, oversee design management, risk, cost and schedule control, and help grow Stantec's APD capabilities while ensuring health, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on APD projects from planning to final design and construction services.
• Be the key contact, performing design, deputy design, or quality manager roles on APD projects.
• Represent Stantec as a technical leader on major APD projects.
• Identify resources and manage contract tasks, costs, and schedule to stay on time and budget.
• Contribute to initiatives advancing project design, operations, and business development in Florida APD.
• Coordinate to support APD projects across the South region as needed.

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Alternative Project Deliver Leader for Florida. Our award-winning team has managed thousands of projects across all sectors—airports, transit and rail, ports and marine, highway and bridge, including complex bridges, interchanges, and managed toll projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of transportation design build projects across Florida for large and mid-size Transportation projects. May manage technical employees, work planning, technical design management and oversight, project delivery, quality management, contract administration, change management, and risk management. This position can be based in any Florida office location including: Orlando, Lake Mary, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Coral Gables, Miami, West Palm Beach, or Deerfield Beach.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on major alternative project delivery (APD) projects from positioning to proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services.
• Be the key person and point of contact, performing design, deputy design, or quality manager roles on major APD projects.
• Represent Stantec and the project design team as a technical leader on major APD projects
• Identify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives. Manage contract tasks, track, and manage costs and schedule, and implement measures necessary to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Contribute to initiatives to help advance our project design, operations, and business development for Florida Transportation APD work.
• Coordinate to support APD projects across the South region on as-needed basis.
• Work in a manner to protect the health and safety of Stantec employees, clients, and the public by following company health, safety and security guidelines and policies.
• Maintain and enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider.
• Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards.
• Lead by example with active support of internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality management.
• Grow internal and external networks to enhance Stantec reputation and identify additional talent to join our team.
• Develop Client relationships to facilitate project activities.
• Establish, maintain, and promote partnerships with contractors and consultants in project pursuits.
