Flowerama in Des Moines, IA is hiring full-time florists for day, evening, and weekend shifts. The role emphasizes strong customer service, retail experience, and ability to upsell during busy seasons. You will work with a team to manage floral designs, inventory, and store presentations.

Experience in POS systems and basic floral design is helpful but not mandatory. The job requires physical stamina and flexibility to meet seasonal demands, including holidays.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required or preferred.
• Retail experience helpful.
• Floral design experience helpful but not mandatory.
• Typing speed of 30 WPM or faster.
• Point of Sale experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Stand up to 8 hours daily and up to 10 hours seasonally.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and train floral design staff to maintain profitability.
• Interview, hire, manage and terminate employees
• Complete and/or audit daily bookwork
• Report concerns to store/ district manager
• Order and manage inventory of fresh and non-perishable items
• Maintain housekeeping, signage and pricing as costs fluctuate
• Handle customer service and resolve complaints
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management
• Work additional hours during holidays and busy periods
• Support management with daily operations
