Job summary

Hy-Vee Floral Design is seeking a skilled Floral Designer in Florida to craft beautiful arrangements to customer specifications while leading floral clerks and ensuring stock is fresh and organized. The role emphasizes customer care, detailed processing, and reliable service in a busy retail setting.

You will handle orders from FTD, Teleflora, and in-store requests, counsel customers on floral care, and participate in department leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers and advising on floral care and arrangements.
• Process and wrap flowers to prevent damage and meet customer specifications.
• Fulfill orders on time, including weddings, funerals, and anniversaries.
• Manage floral orders and confidentiality of sender, recipient, and costs.
• Lead floral clerks and train them on designs and daily tasks.
• Order flowers and supplies daily with guidance from the Floral Manager.
• Identify storefront spaces to showcase specials and new arrangements.
• Stay current on floral industry trends and assist with in-store events.
